In case you haven’t been following the news, we got battered by Typhoon Melor throughout last night and today. It was quite a spectacle, and displayed both how powerful nature can be, and how quickly Tokyo grinds to a halt when the train system goes down. My lectures were canceled too so it’s not all bad.
Anyway, after a typhoon passes over the weather that follows immediately afterward is always bright, clear and not humid. Perfect photography weather. As I haven’t yet done a photo update of my local area, I thought this was the perfect chance to show you guys a couple of photos.
This is the river I cross every morning on my way to the station. I decided to make this photo sepia since I’m usually crossing it at 7.30am and that’s all my eyes can make out at that hour.
This is my favourite photo of the group, I’m really happy with it. It doesn’t really say much about the area or anything, unless you really wanted to know if I live near flowers or not. In which case, the answer is: yes.
Here’s the whole set, including the two I already posted. Why have I posted them twice?! It’s a mystery! Well actually I just don’t know how to take them out of the gallery. Whatever.
These photos are also available in larger resolutions on Flickr. That’s about it for this short update, I have another day of university tomorrow, so nothing exciting to report there, but hopefully I should be doing something very ‘out there’ on Saturday, so I will probably blog it on Sunday. Until then!
