The funny thing is that Coca Cola Green Tea hit the shelves in Germany already in March 2008. One would think that green tea products would always be available in Japan first.
Anyway, I don’t know about the Japanese version but the green tea cola I tasted in Germany tasted just like regular cola except for the fact that it left a weird feeling and aftertaste on your tongue. :-/

My local Family Mart had a huge table next to the counter promoting it. I guess it worked as I picked one up. It wasn’t very good though, but then I don’t really like Diet Coke. Long live normal Coke Vanilla, the best coke flavour! Is that still around in the UK?

Green tea products are not uncommon in Asia. There’s green tea flavoured mooncakes, green tea/lemon tea hybrids and green tea ice cream. This is the first time I’ve heard of a green tea carbonated drink though.
