(It was written on a sheet that said 'Hiragana practice' at the top, with the whole lot written in said squiggly shapes.) I would have hoped for a culture completely alien to the British one I'm currently mired in, but I suppose that anywhere with Irish pubs and contingents of Australians is going to be quite alcohol-centric.
